TA21 Mentorship Programme
We are currently introducing the TA21 programme to our second year students. Part of this programme involves establishing a mentoring programme between Drimnagh Castle alumni and our current second year students.Recent academic research indicates a direct correlation between access to mentoring and an increase in college applications for mentees. We feel that offering a similar opportunity to our students would help to generate more interest in third level education. Considering these benefits, we are currently recruiting mentors to work with individual groups of second year students.
This will involve attending an hour long training seminar and three 40 minute mentoring sessions within the current academic year. We intend to hold the training session in the school on the 7th December at 6pm.
We have pencilled in some provisional dates for the mentoring sessions on the following weeks: 8th – 14th January, 12th – 18th March, 7th – 13th May. We hope to provide a selection of times during these weeks to facilitate mentors’obligations. These dates are flexible as we hope to minimise disruption to your schedules. If you are interested in the programme, please contact the Drimnagh Castle TA21 team at
Your participation is greatly appreciated.
