Transition Year students
Transition Year students then proceeded to study individual soldiers/ nurses exploring their form through small models in class. Justine Prendergast, our artist, gave our students a workshop in fabric and wire sculpture.
Over 2 and a half day’s students alongside Justine produced figures inspired by “The Birth of a Republic”. Figures varied according to poses but were approximately 1 foot in height.

To present the figures, students worked on an installation piece. This involved 3 large props approximately 8 ft. by 3ft in size. Figures were placed amongst the GPO, A typical Georgian Street and a recreation of Pagets painting.
